Nariman Afkhami is the Founder and CEO of AREÁD. He embarked on his real estate journey in 1985 as a land broker and founded AREÁD International in 1987. Under his leadership, AREÁD became a prominent player in brokerage, acquisitions and entitlements.

In 1990, he established AREÁD Inc. as the company's development division, which includes master planned communities and homebuilding. In 2005, AREÁD expanded beyond securing capital from private investors to collaborating with large financial institutions. With more than four decades of experience in the real estate sector, Mr. Afkhami’s achievements are largely attributed to his forward-thinking mindset, innovative insights, deep understanding of market trends and his ability to conceive and develop projects that align with the changing demands of communities. Beyond real estate, Mr. Afkhami has been involved in the ownership and operations of other businesses including a private water utility company, a wholesale home furnishing company with manufacturing operations in the U.S., China and India, and high-end luxury clothing boutiques across several states.

Mr. Afkhami is a council member of the Urban Land Institute, a member of the Arizona State University real estate council and is the current chairman of the Japan Karate Association World Federation America. Mr. Afkhami along with his wife Kimberly, supports various charitable organizations, including the Phoenix Art Museum, American Heart Association, and Arizona Kidney Foundation.
